ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 17 Ithaca College women's track & field team competed in its final meet before championship meets get underway as the Bombers traveled over to Cornell's Marc Deneault Invitational on Saturday.
IC had a sold all-around showing in pole vault as
Martha Kemp-Neilson led the way in second at 3.78 meters (12' 4.75"), which moves her up to 11th in the NCAA list.
Meghan Matheny placed third at 3.68 meters (12' 0.75"), while
Sara Altonen came in fourth with the same vault.
Kennedey Heichel finished fifth at 3.38 meters (11' 1") and
Jamie Rossig was seventh at the identical height.
Erin Eastwood tied for eighth at 3.18 meters (10' 5.25").
Emily Johnson took fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.28.
Luca Pecora was another fourth place finisher in the triple jump at 10.87 meters (35' 8").
Hannah Fichter took sixth in the 3000-meter run in 11:13.19, while
Devan Adegbile was a seventh place finisher in the 200-meter dash in 27.49 seconds.
Rachel Larson placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 11.45 seconds after she qualified with a time of 9.90.
Lily Seyfert notched a mark of 13.55 meters (44' 5.5") in the weight throw to earn eighth overall. Seyfert also finished eighth in the triple jump at 10.18 meters (33' 4.75").
Arla Davis finished 11th in the shot put with a heave of 10.12 meters (33' 2.5").
Ithaca heads to RIT next weekend for the Liberty League Championships.
