No. 10 Women’s Basketball Remain Unbeaten in 2023 and Reel off Their 16th Straight Win

Annadale-on-Hudson, N.Y. – The No. 10 nationally ranked Ithaca College women's basketball program won the opening tip and led from start to finish on Friday evening as they downed Bard College by a 77-20 final. With the win, the Bombers have reeled off 16-striaght victories and are a perfect 17-0 in the Liberty League, while improving to 22-2.

The Bombers held Bard to just nine first half points holding the Raptors to 17.6% shooting from the floor. The tough Ithaca defense lasted through the second half as Bard struggled all evening long getting things going as IC forced them into 23 turnovers. Ithaca ended up scoring 24 points off the Bard miscues with the Bombers bench also having one of their best games of the season totaling a combined 58 points.

Every student-athlete for Ithaca that saw the floor on Friday got into the scorebook, which included Anya Watkins finishing as the games leading scorer netting 14 points. Graduate student Brady Lynch netted 10 points and flirted with a double-double, totaling seven boards. Graycen Dubin also stuffed the stat sheet scoring six points, assisting two buckets, blocking a pair of shots, while grabbing seven rebounds.

Ithaca will look to closeout a perfect Liberty League slate during the 2022-23 season tomorrow when they're back in action at Vassar College. The Bombers have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Liberty League Championship Tournament. Ithaca has been crowned champions for three years running (2019, 2020, 2022).
