GENEVA, N.Y. - Ithaca College field hockey had 16 members named to the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad on Feb. 9. This year's list includes over 1,7000 student-athletes across 157 institutions in Division III.

This year there were 277 four-time honorees named to the Academic Squad, including Ithaca's own Davis, Fortunato, Lennon and Pillow. They have been distinguished in the award listing.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

Johns Hopkins University and Middlebury College topped the Academic Squad each with 24 student-athletes. This is the second year in a row Johns Hopkins led with the most players. Washington and Lee University finished close behind with 23 student-athletes named to the list, with Smith College coming in third with 22.
