ITHACA, N.Y. – D3football.com released its 2023 All-Americans during the pregame show of the 50th Stagg Bowl on December 15 and three members of the Ithaca College football program found a spot on one of the four teams.

Ben Stola and Derek Slywka were named to the first team, while Jalen Leonard-Osbourne landed on the fourth team.

Slywka earns his second All-American honor this year, as he was named AFCA Second Team earlier this week. He was also named D3football.com Region 2 Defensive Player of the Year and D3football.com Team of the Week twice. Slywka recorded 51 total tackles, which ranked fourth on the team, while his six interceptions and 10 pass breakups led the squad. His 16 passes defended ranks second all-time on the single season list. He also blocked two kicks, recovered a fumble and forced another. Slywka caused a turnover in six straight games this season.

Stola, the Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year, logged 118 total tackles (62 solo) with 12 tackles for a loss of 31 yards, both of which led the team, and two sacks. Stola also intercepted three passes, broke up three more and recovered a fumble. He eclipsed 10-plus tackles in seven games this season, including two 17-tackle performances against Hobart and Cortland. He was named D3football.com Team of the Week after his performance against Johns Hopkins to begin the season and was a First Team selection for Region 2 by D3football.com.

Leonard-Osbourne, the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year and D3football.com Region 2 First Team selection, rushed for 1055 yards and 11 touchdowns this season on 171 carries. Leonard-Osbourne posted one 200-yard performance this season against Rochester and produced the fifth-longest rush in school history at 90 yards against Springfield. He was the first IC running back to eclipse 1000 yards since 2012. He also caught 42 passes for 401 yards and three more scores.

The addition of these three to Ithaca's All-American list brings the program total to 156.
