No. 10 Women’s Lacrosse Set to Host Clarkson in Liberty League Quarterfinal Tomorrow at 4 p.m.

ITHACA, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 10 Ithaca College women's lacrosse team will officially begin postseason play tomorrow afternoon, May 3 at 4 p.m. in the Liberty League Quarterfinals against Clarkson University at Higgins Stadium. The winner of Tuesday's matchup will advance to the semifinals to play No. 13 St. Lawrence University in Geneva, N.Y. on Saturday.

No. 8 William Smith College earned hosting rights for the weekend after going undefeated in the Liberty League. St. Lawrence is the No. 2 seed and earned a bye to the semifinals.

The No. 4-5 matchup in the tournament is between RPI and Union, which will be played at 6 p.m. tomorrow in Troy. That winner will take on William Smith on Saturday. The two semifinal winners will square off in the title game on Sunday for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.

TOMORROW'S MATCHUP: Ithaca and Clarkson meet in the Liberty League Quarterfinals for the fifth all-time matchup. The Bombers have won each of the previous four games, including an 18-8 decision earlier this season.

LAST TIME OUT FOR IC: The Bombers went 2-0 last week with a 17-13 win over No. 14 Hamilton and a 14-7 win at Skidmore.

Megan Motkowski had eight goals and four assists last week. Motkowski also won eight draws, caused three turnovers and picked up two groundballs. In a 17-13 win over No. 14 Hamilton, she notched five goals with three assists and concluded the week with three goals and one assist against Skidmore.

Rachel Rosenberg finished the week with 14 draw controls, seven groundballs, six caused turnovers and one assist. Rosenberg had six draws, three groundballs and three caused turnovers against Hamilton in a midweek game. She then won eight draws with and assist, four groundballs and three caused turnovers against Skidmore. She would be named Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week.

SCOUTING CLARKSON: The Golden Knights are 9-5 on the season. Clarkson averages 13.8 goals per game and allows 11.9 per contest.

Sydney Roderick leads the offense with 58 points on 30 goals and 28 assists. Madelynn Barnum has scored a team-high 48 goals on the season and is tops on the team with 56 draws, 27 groundballs and 16 caused turnovers.

Sydney Christiansen is 9-5 in goal with a 12.41 GAA and .445 save percentage.
