CANTON, N.Y. - The Ithaca College men's tennis team fell to the St. Lawrence University Saints 6-3 Saturday afternoon. The Bombers concluded its season with 2-6 in the Liberty League and 8-10 overall.
Graduate student Minos Stavrakas and senior Artem Khaybullin recorded IC's sole doubles victory of the afternoon, narrowly defeating the Saints' Adam Heilbronner and Broderick Pinto 8-7(3).
Stavrakas followed up his doubles performance with an individual win at second singles, taking down his opponent in straight sets 7-5, 6-3, his third straight individual victory. The graduate student finished his final season with a 10-6 singles record.
Sophomore Nicolas Luis rounded out the Ithaca's victories in the top slot, dispatching St. Lawrence's Nathan Turtledove 6-4, 6-4. Luis finished his sophomore season 10-7 in singles.
Khaybullin played a tough match in the sixth singles spot, taking the first set over his opponent 6-2 but dropping the second 5-7 and the super tie-breaker 3-10.
