INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team was back in action at the second day of the NCAA Division III Championships and it was a historic evening for
Jack Wadsworth. The talented swimmer earned All-American status in the 400-yard IM with his second-place finish.
Wadsworth started off his day by winning his heat and finishing as the top qualifier in the preliminaries with a recorded time of 3:51.71. In the evening's final, he reset his program, Liberty League and personal-best by touching the final wall behind Kenyon's Bryan Fitzgerald in 3:49.26. The Windsor, Vt., earned his first-ever All-American status.
The Bombers foursome of
Jack Wadsworth,
Stanley Zaneski,
James Collishaw and
Ben Young competed together in the 200-yard freestyle relays in the morning prelims, but unfortunately their time was disqualified.
Competition resumes tomorrow with the 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and the 800 freestyle relay.
