INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships are officially underway in Indianapolis and the Ithaca College men's swimming & diving team continued its strong season by resetting a program record in the 200-yard medley relays as part of the morning preliminary races. Qualified swimmers competed in the 200-yard medley relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle and the men's divers competed on the 3-meter boards.
In a photo finish, Ithaca College fell just short of qualifying for the consolation final in the 200-yard medley relay. The Bombers time of 1:30.80 once again reset a program record with
Jack Wadsworth,
James Collishaw,
Stanley Zaneski and
Ben Young teaming up together as they finished 17
th overall. The foursome from Bowdoin College finished 16
th with a recorded time of 1:30.60.
The Bombers had both
James Collishaw and
Stanley Zaneski compete in the 50-yard preliminaries on Wednesday morning with neither able to qualify for the evenings final events. Zaneski was the 43rd overall finisher with a recorded time of 20.67 and Collishaw touched the wall in 20.78 for the 52
nd finish.
The second day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
