INSIDE LOOK AT THE BOMBERS
Ithaca earned the No. 1 seed, a first round bye and the right to host the Liberty League Championships by defeating Vassar College during the final weekend of the regular season. The Bombers entered the D3hoops.com and WBCA national rankings for the first time in 2021-22 this week and are riding a 17-game winning streak into the postseason. Ithaca was ranked No. 23 by D3hoops.com and then No. 24 by the WBCA national rankings.

The Bombers lead the Liberty League and rank 23rd nationally by allowing only 51.0 points per game, while the team's 69.1 points per game ranks second in the conference in scoring offense. Grace Cannon is sixth among conference players by averaging 15.5 ppg and shoots nearly 50 percent from the field, and also is tied for sixth in the conference in steals.

Cara Volpe is the next leading scorer for IC averaging 9.2 points per game as Emily Dorn (7.8) and Melissa Buxton (5.0) pack a scoring punch off of head coach Dan Raymond's bench. Despite having no Bomber in the top-10 of the Liberty League in rebounding, Ithaca is out-rebounding its opponents by nearly 10 boards per game.
