Women's Lacrosse Moves Up to No. 11 in Latest IWLCA Coaches Poll

The Ithaca College Women's Lacrosse Team came in at No. 11 in the latest edition of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association rankings released on March 22, 2021.

The Bombers moved up one spot in the poll after posting wins over No. 22 SUNY Cortland and No. 13 Brockport. Ithaca defeated the Red Dragons 18-11 in the season-opener on March 17 behind seven goals from senior Jacqui Hallack. Three days later the Bombers took down the Golden Eagles behind a tenacious ride that helped force Brockport into 31 turnovers, including a mere 15-33 effort on clears.

Two future Bomber opponents found themselves in the latest edition of Top 25 poll. Liberty League rival William Smith came in at No. 15 and St. John Fisher came in at No. 9.

The Bombers will take the field again on Friday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m. in Rochester, N.Y. against RIT. It will be the first of two games for Ithaca this weekend. They will host a rematch with the Tigers on Saturday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m.
