ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's basketball team returned to their winning ways on Saturday afternoon as they led from start to finish over Bard College and earned the 68-35 win. Playing in back-to-back days, the Bombers were locked in on the defensive end and used a big first half to pull away for their first Liberty League victory of the season.

- The Bombers scored 68 points on Saturday and were ultra-proficient from downtown shooting 7-for-18 from 3-point range as leading scorer Hannah Polce was a perfect 2-of-2. Polce came off coach Raymond's bench and netted a team-best 12 points in 16 minutes of action.
- Leading scorer Grace Cannon was efficient during her time on the court finishing with 10 points, three rebounds and three assists.
- IC's defense was much improved from Friday evening as they held Bard College to just 26.8 percent from the field and 3-of-10 shooting from downtown. The Bombers held a 43-29 advantage in rebounds.
- Ithaca scored 24 points off turnovers as they forced the Raptors into 21 errors.
- Christina Kiser led all scorers netting 18 points for Bard as she managed a double-double collecting 10 rebounds.

How it Happened
- Looking to erase the mistakes from the evening prior, Ithaca College raced out to an early 17-2 advantage with the scoring run capped off by an Alex Heuwetter 3-pointer that was assisted by Melissa Buxton. The Bombers scored the final two baskets of the quarter including a layup from Natalie Smith as time expired as they led 21-8 after the first 10 minutes.
- The Bombers continued to build on their lead and outscored the Raptors 20-6 in the second quarter to carry a 41-14 lead into the halftime break. IC shot 8-of-16 from the floor and 2-of-6 from 3-point range within the period building the comfortable advantage.
- A pair of good free throws from Alyssa Spady saw IC up 52-21 with 5:06 remaining in the third quarter. The Bombers once again closed the quarter out strong by scoring the final two buckets, the first being a fast break jumper from Hannah Polce and the other being a layup from Kelly Lamarre.
- The fourth quarter was the most competitive of the afternoon with the teams combining to score 23 points. A made 3-pointer from Polce put her team up by 36 points (62-26) as Ithaca used its huge lead to cruise down the stretch.
Ithaca College (5-2, 1-1 Liberty League) return to non-conference action hosting the University of Rochester on Tuesday, December 7. Game time from Ben Light Gymnasium is slated for 6 p.m.
