Against Bowdoin College
- The Bombers swung at a high percentage in the first set against the Polar Bears connecting on 14-of-36 total attempts (.222 percent) and built an early lead. The Bombers went up 22-12 after a Paris Buckner kill that was assisted by Laura Severance. IC held on and won the first game via another kill this one by sophomore Jamie Koopman.
- Koopman finished with a season-best and match-high 17 kills as she was the top hitter for Ithaca College and has begun coming into form finishing with double-digit efforts in three of the last four contests.
- In the second set it was 15-20 before the Bombers scored five of the next six points including a service ace from Julia Costa that made it 20-21. Bowdoin College capitalized on a few mistakes by IC down the stretch as they led 23-22 but weren't able to put the game away.
- The third game was once again highly competitive with the Polar Bears going up 4-0 early but the resilient Bombers forced a tie and went up 10-9 thanks to an attacking error by the opponents and a Jaelyn Hershberger kill. Bowdoin thought they had seized the momentum, but IC fought back after trailing 15-20 to tie the match again with another kill from Paris Buckner. The schools traded points and the Polar Bears managed to escape and win the game with a two-point advantage (25-23).
- It was all Bowdoin College in the fourth set as they won it 25-14 as Corinne Lamond and Cori Gray led a fantastic effort at the net for Bowdoin, totaling six and five blocks, respectively.
Against Hamilton College
- The Bombers were able to get back to their winning ways in a solid showing against Hamilton College. They totaled 54 kills compared to the Continentals who managed just 44. Jamie Koopman was once again the top-hitter totaling 12 kills along with four blocks at the net.
- It was a tandem effort with Laura Severance totaling a match-best 22 assists with first year Peyton Miller right behind her with 21. Severance helped seize momentum for her team with a pair of aces.
- The first game was the most competitive with Ithaca College squeezing out the 26-24 win in Margaret Bundy Scott Field House as they fought off a Continentals comeback attempt. Hamilton took the second set by a 25-18 score and the Bombers put away the match dominating the next two sets.
- It was consistent three-point scoring bursts without letting up that won IC the third game and the Bombers were up 18-7 at one point in the fourth with an Aleka Darko kill. They put the match away with back-to-back points from Jennifer Pitts and then her presence at the net forced an opponent's attacking error.
Ithaca College will return to Liberty League play with a three-match homestand beginning with a match on Friday, October 8 against Skidmore College. The match will begin in Ben Light Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
