MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team stayed hot on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-0 win over Morrisville State. Four different players scored in the Bombers win and IC is now 3-0 on the season.

After nearly 30 minutes of scoreless play, Ithaca finally put a goal on the board at the 29:14 mark. Junior
Jonathan Kyriakidis put in a pass from sophomore
Theo Scott to give the Bombers the one-goal edge. It is Kyriakidis' first goal of the year.

Kyriakidis put a shot on frame 1:08 prior to the goal, which was saved by Morrisville goalkeeper Tyler Card. The Bombers continued to threaten after earning a corner kick, which ultimately led to finding the back of the net for the first time.

In the 38
th minute, Kyriakidis had another chance, but his shot was saved once again by Card in goal. IC then tested Card again in the 42
nd minute, as first-year
Aidan Keenan's shot was stopped by him.

With less than one minute remaining in the first half, the Bombers added another goal to head into the break with a 2-0 lead over the Mustangs.

Sophomore
Ali Kapasi had one last chance to extend IC's lead with just 10 seconds left on the clock in the first half, but Card came up with the save again.

Ithaca wasted no time in the opening minutes of the second half, as Scott scored a goal of his own just 1:11 into the half, off a pass from Leahy. The goal marks Scott's first of the season and fourth of his career on South Hill.

Goalkeeper
Max Lichtenstein, who picked up his third shutout of the season, made his first of three saves of the game in the 49
th minute, as he stopped William Lynch's shot.

Lichtenstein stopped another Morrisville State shot in the 60
th minute, keeping Kossi Philippe Nodjo's ball out of the net and the Mustangs off the board.

Ithaca went on to test Card in goal twice before scoring again. Leahy put both shots on frame, but Card came up with the saves in the 72
nd and 73
rd minutes.

The Bombers struck again in the 80
th minute of play as senior
Jack Monnes scored on a pass from
Kevin Turi for his first goal of the season, giving IC a 4-0 edge with just over 10 minutes left to play.

Lichtenstein notched his final save of the game in the 83
rd minute, as he stopped Jack Gardiner's shot.

First-year
Christian Schaffner added the exclamation point in the 89
th minute. He scored his first collegiate goal on a pass from Turi, pushing IC's lead to 5-0.

Ithaca is back in action on Sunday as the Bombers travel to Kings Point to take on United States Merchant Marine Academy. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. IC returns home Tuesday, September 10 against Hamilton at 4:30 p.m.
