GREENSBORO, N.C. – In his first appearance at the Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, sophomore
Justin Moczynski posted a score of 378.25 on the 1-meter board in the preliminary round.

Although Moczynski will not advance to tonight's final after finishing 22
nd out of 24 divers, he will have another opportunity to advance on Saturday in the men's 3-meter.
Moczynski's highest-scoring dive was in the eighth round of competition as his inward two somersault tuck notched a 49.00. His third-round inward one and one-half somersault tuck also scored above 40 points, earning a 42.90.

Lake Forest College's Heath Ogawa – last year's 3-meter championship – was the top-qualifier on the today, notching 499.20 points. Amherst's Bennett Fagan was the last qualifier for the final, posting a score of 447.60 to finish eighth in the preliminary round.

Preliminaries on Saturday, the final day of the NCAA Championships, begin at 10 a.m. with diving kicking off between 12:30 and 1 p.m.
