ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College swimming and diving programs hosted the 10
th Annual Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium in the Athletics and Events Center.

The day started with the men's 1-meter, followed by the 3-meter, and consisted of 11 dives. The Bombers were joined by Oswego, Oneonta, Hartwick and Alfred State.

Ithaca had just one diver competing – sophomore
Justin Moczynski – who had a great showing against a tough field.

Mocyznski led for more than half of the 1-meter until Oswego's Cameron Ellis took over en route to his eventual win. Moczynski finished second with a score of 441.90, hitting the NCAA qualifying score of 425. Ellis won the field with a score of 460.

The sophomore ended the day strong, winning the 3-meter dive by more than 76 points. Moczysnki won the field with a score of 503.35, while Ellis came in second with a score of 426.80.

Moczynski really set himself apart midway through, scoring back-to-back 60+ point dives in the sixth and seventh rounds, creating distance between him and Ellis. After scoring 503.35, Moczynski once again hit the NCAA qualifying standards, which is 440 for the 3-meter.

The Bombers are back in action next weekend when they travel to Union for the last dual meet of the season.
