ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's soccer team rolled to a 3-0 victory over Mount St. Mary on Wednesday afternoon on Carp Wood Field.

The win marks the sixth of the Bombers' season, pushing their record to 6-0-1 as they head into Liberty League play this weekend.

Ithaca did not waste time putting a goal on the board, scoring just 8:40 in.

Junior
Ally Christman scored her first goal of the season on a pass from
Sarah Pirnie. After taking a long ball from Pirnie, Christman dribbled around and beat her defender and fired a hard shot into the top of the net.

The Bombers once again put a goal on the board in the 27
th minute. Christman was also involved in this play, as she sent a pass to sophomore
Alex Epifani, who put it away. Christman intercepted the ball and sent a cross from the right side past the goalkeeper where Epifani controlled it and chipped it in to give IC a 2-0 lead.

The goal marks Epifani's second of the season as well as Christman's fourth assist.

Ithaca first-year
Stella Campodonico scored the final goal of the game with just under 15 minutes left to play.
Gabriella Mihale slipped a ball through multiple Knights' defenders to Campodonico who sent it in past a diving Rykowski in the net.. The goal marks Campodonico's third goal of her freshman campaign.

The Bombers took control of the game from the jump and registered their first shot in the 7
th minute. Mount St. Mary goalkeeper Cassidy Rykowski came up with the save on the Pirnie attempt to keep IC off the board.

In the 18
th minute, the Knights tested goalkeeper
Sara Jakobsze for the first time, but she made the play on Julie Roethel's shot.

Ithaca continued its offensive push, generating multiple corners and forcing Rykowski to make one final save of the half on an
Elise Leavitt attempt.

The Bombers once again maintained possession of the ball for much of the second half.
Â
Pirnie sent in the first shot attempt just 1:07 in, which Rykowski saved. A Christman shot in the 50
th minute sailed wide and a Leavvit shot in the 53
rd minute was stopped by Rykowski.

In the 71
st minute,
Sam Robinson sent in a corner kick which resulted in a header from Campodonico, but it went wide.
Â
One of Ithaca's best scoring opportunities in the second half came with 9:10 left of the clock when Campodonico sent a header to goal, but it landed just to the left of the goal.

Mount St. Mary had another chance to put a goal on the board in the 86
th minute on a Theresa Stinson shot, but Jakobsze once again made the save to preserve her shut out.

Statistically, Ithaca out-shot Mount St. Mary 14-7 which included nine second-half shots. The Bombers also generated six corner kicks to the Knights' two.

Jakobsze finished with two saves on the day to improve to 6-0-2 on the season, which includes four shut outs. Rykowski made four saves in the net for Mount St. Mary.

The Bombers are back in action on Saturday as they hit the road for their first Liberty League contest of the season against Clarkson at 2 p.m. The Golden Knights are coming off a 3-0 win over SUNY Canton today and are 4-2-1 on the season. IC and Clarkson have one common opponent on the season – Cortland – which resulted in wins for both teams.
