ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team finished in fifth place with 678.5 points following the final day of the 8
th Annual Bomber Invite on Sunday afternoon.

Cornell finished in first with 1,806 points while SUNY Geneseo took second, Rochester finished third and Nazareth finished fourth.

In the first race of the day, the 1,650 freestyle,
Jake Hewitt was the top IC finisher, coming in 11
th overall with a time of 17:06.72. Junior Pat Daly finished within the top 20, swimming to a time of 17:39.13 for 16
th place.

Freshman Timothy Hector was the lone IC swimmer in the 100 IM, taking third place with a time of 55.57.

In the 100 freestyle, junior
Nate Bartalo was the top finisher, claiming 11
th place overall with a time of 47.84.

Freshman
Spencer Brownewell was the top finisher for the Bombers in the 200 backstroke, taking 11
th with a time of 1:56.94.
Dylan Haraden and
Bradley Keith also finished in the top 20 as Haraden took 13
th with a time of 1:59.65 and Keith finished 14
th in 1:59.96.

Junior
Andrew Mikhailichenko notched a 10
th-place finish in the 200 breaststroke after swimming to a time of 2:10.73.

The Bombers rounded out the day with a fifth-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. The team of
Stanley Zaneski,
Kellen Scanlan,
Daniel Meyers and Bartalo swam to a time of 3:13.20, finishing behind Cornell, Geneseo, Shippensburg and Nazareth.

Ithaca returns to action on Saturday, January 12 following a break for the semester with a tri-meet at RIT with Hamilton.
