ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team sits in sixth place after day one of the 8
th Annual Bomber Invite with 106 points.

Ithaca's best individual finish of the day was in the 50 freestyle. Sophomore
Stanley Zaneski took fifth place with a time of 21.23.
Nate Bartalo also finished in the top 20, tied for 17
th place with a time of 21.99.

The Bombers also had a solid performance in the 200 medley relay, finishing in fourth place. The team of
Spencer Brownewell,
Andrew Mikhailichenko, Bartalo and Zaneski swam to a time of 1:36.13.

In the first event of the day, the 500 freestyle, the Bombers' top finisher was
Jake Hewitt, who finished 21
st with a time of 4:55.58. Freshman
Michael Sheehan took 24
th overall with a time of 4:58.34.

Ithaca's top finisher in the 200 IM was Mikhailichenko, a junior, who swam to a time of 2:01.24. Junior
Liam Maginnis also finished among the top 20, in 20
th place with a time of 2:02.37.

Sophomore Justin Mocyznski was the top IC finisher on the one-meter board, taking ninth place overall, with a score of 391.85. Junior
Benjamin Pesco came in 17
th with 294.30 points while
H. Caleb Rahner racked up 267.60 points for 19
th overall.

The Bombers are back in action tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., starting with the 200 freestyle relay. IC will then race the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle and 400 medley relay to round out the morning.

In the afternoon, at 1 p.m., diving action will resume with the women's one-meter and the men's three-meter.

At 5:40, there will be a short pool dedication ceremony before rounding out the evening with the 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 800 freestyle relay.
