TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team completed the Henry Kumpf Invitational on Saturday afternoon, hosted by RPI.

The Bombers took second place overall with 572 points, just behind the host team which finished with 609 points.
Â
Each team was scored against each other, and the Bombers finished the day 4-1.
Â
IC defeated Cortland 167.00-74.0, Skidmore 197.00-46.00, William Smith 179.00-64.00 and Clarkson 204.00-31.00. The Bombers were only defeated by RPI, which won the matchup 151.00-92.00.

In diving action, IC won both the one and three meter dives.
Â
Nickie Griesemer took the top spot in the one meter dive with a total score of 292.75. Lindsay Suddaby took second place in the event, totaling 254.65 points.
Anna Belson rounded out the top four with a score of 231.60.

Katie Helly won the three meter dive for the Bombers, recording a score of 296.65. Griesemer came in second place with a score of 282.50 while Belson finished in fourth with 268.35 points.

In swimming action, the Bombers opened up the day by taking fourth place in the 400 yard medley relay. The team of
Paige Landers,
Ashley Warren,
Kelsey Jepsen and Caroline Bissaillon swam to a time of 4:17.59 to earn 30 points.

The team of
Rachel Smertz, Gabriele Humphrey,
Kaitlyn Scott and
Angelina Domena finished in sixth place with a time of 4:22.76 to earn 26 points for the Bombers. Victoria Eastham,
Casey Koenig,
Maria Caminiti and
Josie Berman swam to a time of 4:27.06 to take seventh and round out IC's entries.

Freshman
Morgan Hoffman-Smith was the top Bombers' finisher in the 1000 yard freestyle, taking second place with a time of 10:55.03.
Katie Conte came in fourth place, swimming to a time of 11:21.72 while
Abby Hartwig finished in eighth with a time of 11:44.60 to earn 11 points.

Senior
Nilza Costa finished in third place for the Bombers in the 200 yard freestyle. She earned 16 points after swimming to a time of 2:02.57.

Landers also finished in eighth with a time of 2:05.46 while Eastham finished right behind her in ninth, swimming to a time of 2:05.49.

In the 50 yard freestyle,
Genevieve Tripler was the top finisher for IC, taking second place with a final time of 25.59 to earn 17 points.

Jaclyn Pecze finished in fourth place, swimming to a time of 26.00 while Bissaillon took fifth with a time of 26.15.

IC's top finisher in the 200 yard IM was Warren, who took fourth place with a time of 2:19.77 to earn 15 points. Domena finished in sixth after swimming to a time of 2:20.73 and
Zoe Vadney rounded out the Bombers' point scorers, finishing in 12
th place with a time of 2:30.04.

Costa was also the highest finisher for the Bombers in the 200 yard butterfly, taking second with a time of 2:16.58. Jepsen finished in fourth with a time of 2:20.96 while Scott took ninth after swimming to a time of 2:26.35.

The Bombers' top finisher in the 100 yard freestyle was Tripler, who took fourth place with a time of 56.42. Domena was right behind her in fifth place with a time of 57.83 while Berman also earned points for IC, taking 11
th place with a time of 1:00.77.

Pecze finished in third place in the 200 yard backstroke, swimming to a time of 2:18.10 while Landers was not far behind, taking fifth place with a time of 2:21.48. Smertz was a top-ten finisher in the event as well, taking eighth with a time of 2:24.83.

In the 500 yard freestyle, Hoffman-Smith was once again the top finisher for IC, taking second place after swimming to a time of 5:19.57.

Conte finished in sixth with a time of 5:33.37 while Eastham took tenth with a time of 5:43.47.

Warren was the top IC finisher in the 200 yard breaststroke, taking fourth place after swimming to a time of 2:34.47. Koenig finished in ninth place with a time of 2:40.94.

The Bombers took second place in the 400 yard freestyle. The team of Pecze, Costa, Hoffman-Smith and Tripler swam to a time of 3:45.45 to earn 34 points for the Bombers.

Bissaillon, Berman, Smertz and Jepsen finished in fifth place with a time of 3:53.83 while the team of Caminiti, Conte, Scott and Hartwig swam to a time of 4:01.81 for sixth place.

The Bombers are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Alfred for a 1 p.m. start. Next Sunday, IC is set to host the Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational at 10 a.m. at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.
