ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team defeated SUNY Cortland 209-91 on Friday evening at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.

In swimming action, the Bombers opened up strong with a win in the 200 yard medley relay. The team of
Morgan Hoffman-Smith,
Ashley Warren,
Jaclyn Pecze and
Genevieve Tripler took first place with a final time of 1:52.79. Ithaca also took third, fifth and sixth in the race.

Hoffman-Smith was also victorious in the 1000 yard freestyle, taking first with a time of 10:59.38.
Katie Conte came in second, swimming to a time of 11:27.83.

Nilza Costa was the top finisher for the Bombers in the 200 yard freestyle, taking second with a time of 2:02.54. Victoria Eastham finished in the third with a time of 2:05.17 while Domena took fourth with a time of 2:05.81.

The Bombers took the top two spots in the 100 yard backstroke. Pecze finished in first place with a time of 1:02.87 while
Paige Landers came in second after swimming to a time of 1:03.27.

Ithaca's top finisher in the 100 yard breaststroke was Warren, who finished in 1:10.75, just .30 behind Cortland's Alana Szewczyk, who took first.

Gabriele Humphrey finished in third for the Bombers with a time of 1:12.46 and
Miria Teneza took fourth with a time of 1:17.01.

In the 200 yard butterly, the Bombers took second, third, fourth and fifth places, with the top finisher being
Kelsey Jepsen. She took second after swimming to a time of 2:20.33.
Emily Altchiler finished in third place with a time of 2:22.51 while
Kaitlyn Scott took fourth with a time of 2:23.50.
Casey Koenig rounded out the Bombers' swimmers in fifth place, with a time of 2:30.23.

Tripler took first in both the 50 yard and 100 yard freestyles. In the 50, she finished with a time of 25.19 before swimming to a time of 55.45 in the 100.

Landers took first place for the Bombers in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:19.50 while Eastham finished in third after swimming to a time of 2:21.42.

Ithaca once again finished in the top two spots, this time in the 200 yard breaststroke. Warren took first with a time of 2:34.03 and Humphrey finished in second after swimming to a time of 2:39.11.

Hoffman-Smith continued her success, finishing first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:20.44. Costa took third with a time of 5:29.55 while Conte finished in fourth after swimming to a time of 5:37.65.

Pecze won her second individual race of the day, taking the top spot in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 59.72.

The Bombers' top finisher in the 200 yard IM was Domena, who swam to a time of 2:21.63. Altchiler finished in third place with a time of 2:24.24 with Warren not far behind in fourth, swimming to a time of 2:24.84.

Ithaca ended the day with a win the 400 yard freestyle relay. The team of Bissailon, Hoffman-Smith, Pecze and Tripler earned the final 11 points for the Bombers with a time of 3:42.61.

On the diving side, the Bombers swept the top five spots.
Â
Lindsey Suddaby won the one meter dive with a final score of 262.65.
Nickie Griesemer finished in second place with a score of 258.10 while
Alyssa Wishart took third with a score of 251.20.
Katie Helly finished in fourth with a score of 231.20 and
Jocelyn Pawcio took fifth with a score of 194.25.

Griesemer finished in first place in the three meter dive with a score of 295.10. Helly took second place with a score of 269.45 while Suddaby finished in third with a score of 253.45. Wishart took fourth with a score of 250.65.

The Bombers are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to William Smith for a 7 p.m. meet.
