TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team fell to RPI in its first dual meet of the year, 194-104.

The Bombers won three events on the day.
Â
In swimming, Ithaca won the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:44.42.
Â
In diving,
Nickie Griesemer won both the one meter and three meters dives.
Â
In the one meter dive, she finished with a total of 260.00 points to take first. Coming in behind her in second was
Lindsey Suddaby, with 241.20 points.
Katie Helly took third for the Bombers with a tscore of 238.70.

In the three meter dive, Griesemer won with a score of 297.45. RPI's Jessica Kugelman came is second with a score of 272.90. Helly took third with 265.00 points while Suddaby finished fourth with 261.65 points.

In the 200 yard medley relay, the Bombers' team of
Morgan Hoffman-Smith,
Ashley Warren, Jackie Pecze and Genny Tripler finished in third place with a time of 1:54.36.

Nilza Costa finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle, swimming to a time of 11:17.81.
Katie Conte also earned points for the Bombers, coming in fifth with a time of 11:35.16.

Hoffman-Smith was the top finisher for Ithaca in the 200 yard freestyle. She took third with a time of 2:03.44 while Pecze earned fourth after swimming to a time of 2:05.66.

In the 100 yard backstroke,
Paige Landers was the top Bombers' finisher with a time of 1:04.78, which was good for fourth place.

Warren finished second for the Bombers in the 100 yard backstroke, swimming to a time of 1:12.00. Gabriele Humphrey finished in fifth to earn a point for Ithaca, swimming to a time of 1:14.69.

Emily Altchiler was Ithaca's top finisher in the 200 yard butterfly. She finished in third place after swimming a time of 2:23.09.

The Bombers also took fourth and fifth in the event.
Kelsey Jepsen finished fourth with a time of 2:24.31 while
Kaitlyn Scott took fifth with a time of 2:24.62.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Tripler finished in third place with a time of 25.62 while Caroline Bissaillon swam to a time of 26.03 to finish in fourth.

Tripler was also the top finisher for Ithaca in the 100 yard freestyle, taking third with a time of 55.80. Bissaillon finished in fifth place with a time of 57.26.

Hoffman-Smith took third place in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.42. Victoria Eastham swam to a time of 2:21.25 for fourth and
Emma Whitney finished fifth with a time of 2:27.28.

In the 200 yard breaststroke, Warren was the top finisher in third after swimming to a time of 2:35.13. Humphrey finished in fifth with a time of 2:40.65.

Costa took second place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:27.68. Conte also earned points for the Bombers, finishing with a time of 5:38.30 to earn fourth place.

In the 200 yard IM, Ithaca's top finisher was Angeline Domena, who finished in fifth, with a time of 2:23.17.

The Bombers are back in action on Friday, November 3 against SUNY Cortland. The meet is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
