COMPLETE RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The nationally-ranked Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team extended its season-opening winning streak to eight as the Bombers defeated both Hartwick College, 232-68, and SUNY Geneseo, 162-138, on Sunday as part of a tri-meet inside the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion.Â

Jaclyn Pecze and
Lake Duffy got things going for Ithaca with a win in the 200 medley relay as the quartet finished first overall with a winning time of 1:47.56. The Bombers would later finish as runner-up in the 200 freestyle relay as
Erin Hackett,
Genevieve Tripler, Pecze and Duffy wrapped up the race in 1:40.22.
Duffy would add a pair of top finishes in individual competition as well after the senior won both the 50 and 100 free. In the 50, Duffy notched a winning time of 24.27 before finishing the 100 in 53.25.
In the 100 breaststroke, Ithaca earned the top three spots. Reilly won the event after touching the wall in 1:07.22 while
Ashley Warren (1:09.11) and
Hannah Parbst (1:10.62) finished second and third, respectively.Â
The Bombers would sweep the top three spots again in the 200 breaststroke with Parbst winning in 2:30.70. Reilly would take runner-up honors with a time of 2:31.60 and Warren rounded out the top three at 2:33.04.
Justine Wantz paced the field in the 200 backstroke after winning the race with a time of 2:08.90. In the same event, senior
Grace Ayer took third place after finishing up in 2:11.27. Both swimmers would also finish strong in the 100 backstroke as Wantz took second place overall (1:00.16) with Ayer on her heels in third place (1:00.75).
Kelsey Jepsen had a strong meet as well and earned two second place finishes overall. In the 200 butterfly, Jepsen touched the wall in 2:17.56 and concluded the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.44.Â
Cassie Papaleo finished third in the same event at 1:02.29.
Brenna Dowd set the tone for Ithaca in the 500 and 1000 free events with a pair of top three finishes. In the 500, Dowd took second place overall with a mark of 5:22.50 and would add a third place finish in the 1000 free in 11:00.93.Â
Cat Tompkins took fourth in the same event with a time of 11:07.05.
In the diving portion of the meet, senior
Nickie Griesemer, who was named the Empire 8's Diver of the Week on Monday, won both boards for the second week in a row. On the 1-meter, Griesemer notched an NCAA A cut qualifying score with 258.05 points.Â
Alyssa Wishart also tallied an A cut score with 257.50 points – good for second place.Â
On the 3-meter, Griesemer again hit the A mark with 281.55 points. Wishart took second with 258.10 points while
Katie Helly finished in fourth place after accruing 245.50 points.
The Bombers, who are now 8-0 overall on the season, will break for the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion December 2-4 for the Bomber Invite. Â Â Â
