Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's lacrosse team held visiting Hamilton College to just two second-half goals and the Bombers scored a 9-8 victory over the seventh-ranked Hamilton Continentals on Tuesday evening at Higgins Stadium. Ithaca improved its record to 9-7 on the year and Hamilton fell to 11-4.

Hamilton led 6-3 at halftime, but Ithaca got back into the game with a pair of goals early in the second half.
Natalie Lang scored on an assist from
Molly Fischer and
Riley Marion scored on a free-position shot within the first four minutes of the second half.

Ithaca tied the score with 20:17 left in the game on a goal from
Ally Runyon, assisted by
Morgan Cadwell.

After Hamilton scored to regain a one-goal advantage, Ithaca scored the next three goals of the game. Runyon scored her third goal of the game and 49th of the season to tie the score 7-7.
Riley Marion scored her third of the game to give Ithaca its first lead of the contest with 7:06 remaining, and
Natalie Lang scored on an assist from Marion just 32 seconds later.

Ithaca maintained possession in the closing minutes, but Hamilton forced a turnover and scored with 1:45 remaining. The Continentals had another chance in the final minute, but Ithaca goalkeeper
Emily Ross made a point-blank save to preserve the lead. Ithaca cleared the ball to the attack end of the field and ran out the clock to secure the win.

Ross finished the game with nine saves. Ross and Fischer had four ground balls each for Ithaca.
Natalie Lang and
Erika Johnson each recorded three draw controls.

Marion and Runyon led Ithaca with three goals apiece. Cadwell and Marion had two assists each.

Ithaca returns to action Wednesday with an Empire 8 game at Utica. The Bombers can clinch a berth in the Empire 8 playoffs with a win in Wednesday's game.
