Box Score PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's lacrosse team opened Empire 8 conference play Saturday afternoon and fell 13-6 at 17th-ranked St. John Fisher. The host Cardinals led 6-2 at halftime, but Ithaca rallied to pull within three goals twice in the second half, but Fisher closed out the game by scoring the final four goals of the afternoon. Ithaca is 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the Empire 8, while St. John Fisher is 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the Empire 8.

Ithaca opened the scoring in the first half on a free-position goal by
Morgan Cadwell, but St. John Fisher scored three straight to take the lead. A goal by
Ally Runyon brought Ithaca to within 3-2, but another three-goal run for the Cardinals established their 6-2 halftime advantage.

Molly Fischer scored twice in the second half and
Riley Marion and Runyon added single goals for Ithaca over the last 19 minutes of play.

Emily Ross made one save and played the first half of the contest.
Kimberly Presuto came in for the second half and made four saves.

Ithaca converted two of five free-position shots in the game, and had nine draw controls. The Bombers successfully cleared the ball six times in 11 attempts. The Bombers picked up 15 ground balls.

The Bombers continue conference play Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Elmira, and then Ithaca hosts second-ranked Cortland on Thursday at 4 p.m.
