ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team nailed down six first-place finishes on Saturday as the Bombers competed against Hartwick College and SUNY Geneseo in a tri-meet at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion. Ithaca fell to Geneseo, 165-135, but rebounded for a 199-100 triumph over Hartwick.
Sam Reilly finished first out of 10 competitors in the 100-yard breaststroke after touching the wall in 109:49 while
Lake Duffy also placed first in the 50-yard free with a winning time of 24.59 before earning a second win in the 100-yard free after finishing ahead of 13 other participants with a mark of 53.3.
The Bombers took the first three spots in the 200-yard breaststroke as
Hannah Parbst finished first in 2:33.44.
Casey Koenig was second to finish with Reilly rounding out the scoring with a third place finish.
Ithaca took home the tops spots in both diving events as
Anna Belson finished first overall in the 3-meter event with a score of 259.75 while
Katie Helly earned a win in the 1-meter dive with 231.60 points. Belson finished second in the 1-meter as well.
The Bombers will welcome several teams from throughout the Northeast for a three-day met beginning on December 4 when they host the Bomber Invitational at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.
