RESULTS

TROY, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team suffered a rare loss on Saturday as the Bombers narrowly fell to Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute, 161-139.  Ithaca collected four first place finishes overall.

Lake Duffy laid claim to two first place finishes after touching the wall first in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard free.  The junior would go on to help guide the Bombers to a first place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay after teaming up with Megan Zart, Jackie Pecze and Lauren Cox.  The group finished less than one second ahead of RPI in 3:42.64.

Anna Belson had a strong showing in the deep end of the pool, finishing first with a score of 268.15 which was three points higher than the second place finisher.

Hannah Parbst was credited with a second place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:35.69 and Casey Koenig was runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly after ending the event in 2:21.55.

The Bombers will return to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they host Cortland at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.
