RESULTS
TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team suffered a rare loss on Saturday as the Bombers narrowly fell to Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute, 161-139. Ithaca collected four first place finishes overall.Â
Lake Duffy laid claim to two first place finishes after touching the wall first in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard free. The junior would go on to help guide the Bombers to a first place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay after teaming up with
Megan Zart, Jackie Pecze and
Lauren Cox. The group finished less than one second ahead of RPI in 3:42.64.
Anna Belson had a strong showing in the deep end of the pool, finishing first with a score of 268.15 which was three points higher than the second place finisher.
Hannah Parbst was credited with a second place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:35.69 and
Casey Koenig was runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly after ending the event in 2:21.55.
The Bombers will return to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they host Cortland at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.
