HOUGHTON, N.Y. – For the seventh time this season, the Ithaca College field hockey team recorded a shutout victory with a 2-0 win at Houghton on Saturday afternoon. Ithaca is now 10-3 on the season and 6-1 in the Empire 8 Conference with three games remaining on its schedule.

The Bombers scored one goal in each half, and outshot Houghton, 17-6. Ithaca also held a 12-4 advantage in corners.

Junior Cassie Schuttrumpf put in the game-winner in the 15th minute off a pass from classmate Colleen Keegan-Twombly. The two then switched roles for the second tally of the contest in the 58th minute.

It was Schuttrumpf's sixth goal of the season and third game-winning score. Keegan-Twombly put in her team-leading 11th goal of the season, and has scored at least one goal in five straight contests for the Bombers.
