CORTLAND, N.Y. – The No. 5 Ithaca College women's soccer team (4-0) defeated Cortland (1-2-1) Saturday afternoon, dropping the Red Dragons by a score of 3-0 in the first game of the Upstate Collegiate Cup Tournament.

Beth Coppolecchia made two saves in 78 minutes of play for the Bombers. Senior
Becca Lewis played the final 11:15 to preserve the shutout. The Bombers outshot Cortland, 17-9.
Ithaca opened the scoring just 2:25 into the game. Freshman
Taylor Baranowsky's shot from the right side of the box hit the left post, but King was able to knock in the rebound to put the Bombers ahead. In the 18th minute, Ithaca took a corner kick and a loose ball in the box was controlled by Rodabaugh. Her first shot was blocked, but she collected the rebound and scored from 12 yards out.
The Bombers went ahead 3-0 in the 30th minute. Junior

Holly Niemiec assisted on the play, as King netted her second goal of the contest on a shot from 15 yards out to ice the game for the Bombers.
Ithaca will now face No. 9 William Smith in the championship game on Sunday at William Smith. The match is schedule to start at 4 p.m.
