GENEVA, N.Y. – The 13th-ranked Ithaca College women's lacrosse team (8-4) won its fourth straight game Tuesday defeating host William Smith (7-5), 14-6, at Boswell Field.
The Bombers powered to an early 5-0 lead to charge to a 5-1 gap at intermission. Ithaca added four more to open the second stint for a 9-1 margin at 21:43. The Herons scored four of the next five to pull within 10-5, but the Bombers tallied three straight and four of the last five scores for a 14-6 final.
Six players won draw controls as Ithaca owned an 18-4 edge in the category. Senior
Michelle Avery had a career- and game-high five draws, while seniors
Nikki Dahl and
Kim Armbruster added four each.
Freshman Allison Runyon scored four and senior
Tracy Rivas and Dahl netted hat tricks. Armbruster and junior
Becky Guzzo recorded two goals each. Rivas and Guzzo dished out a pair of assists apiece.

Ithaca outshot William Smith, 29-21, and held a 20-16 edge in ground balls.
The Bombers return to action Friday, April 19 hosting Empire 8 opponent Elmira at Higgins Stadium at 4 p.m.
