ITHACA, N.Y. – The 14th-ranked Ithaca College women's lacrosse team (3-2) upended visiting Buffalo State (4-1), 19-5, Tuesday afternoon at Higgins Stadium to improve to 3-0 at home and tarnish the Bengals' perfect record.
The Bombers tallied a trio of goals in the first 2:26 of action before play was halted for a 30-minute period due to unfavorable field conditions and low visibility caused by heavy snow and wind. Once play resumed, Ithaca rattled off 10 scores to the Bengals' three to lead 13-3 at half.
Ithaca increased its gap to 14-3 early in the second, before Buffalo State recorded back-to-back scores. Five Bombers scored in the final 20 minutes of action to finalize all scoring, 19-5.
The Blue & Gold held a 39-11 gap in shots and a 24-11 margin in ground balls, while the Bengals owned a 14-12 advantage in draw controls. Buffalo State committed 23 turnovers to Ithaca's 10.

Kim Armbruster and sophomore
Molly Fischer scored a career-high four goals apiece to pace Ithaca's offense. Senior
Nikki Dahl and freshman Allison Runyon added two each and seven others found the back of the net once. Freshmen
Riley Marion and
Ally Lates each netted their first collegiate goals in Ithaca's largest margin of victory this season. Dahl dished out a career-best four assists, junior
Becky Guzzo added three and seniors

Michelle Avery had two.
Dahl won a game-best five draws and Avery, who had one goal, chipped in a career-high six ground balls. Five Bombers recorded two caused turnovers each.
Senior
Jess Worthman made a pair of saves in 46:29 and junior
Brittany Romano stopped one shot in goal.
The Bombers return to the turf on Saturday, March 23 hosting third-ranked Cortland at 1 p.m.
