ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's soccer team (14-2-0, 6-1-0 E8) lost to St. John Fisher 9-10-0, 4-3-0 E8) Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Cardinals by a score of 2-1 in double overtime at Carp Wood Field. Freshman

Ithaca scored the first goal of the contest, taking a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute. After a strong offensive push from sophomore
Kelsey King, the ball ended up on the foot of freshman
Megan Nash. After a scrum in front of the Cardinal net, Nash pushed the ball to the far end of the box. Baranowsky collected the loose ball and fired a low shot just inside the post for her second score of the season.
Fisher scored to tie the contest with just over 10 minutes to go in the game, marking just the second goal allowed by the Bombers at home this season.
After a scoreless first overtime, the Cardinals cashed in on a 2-on-1 at the top of the box. Fisher's Taryn Guinta snuck a shot past Coppolecchia for the golden goal, giving the Cardinals the 2-1 win in the 106th minute.
Despite the loss, the Bombers have already clinched the first seed in the Empire 8 Playoffs. The tournament semifinal games, held at Carp Wood Field, are set to begin on Saturday, Nov. 9.
