Bombers to Host NCAA First & Second Rounds, Live Coverage Available

ITHACA, N.Y. – The #6 Ithaca College women's soccer team will play host to the NCAA Tournament first and second rounds on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10-11. The regional semifinals will be held on Saturday at Carp Wood Field. The Bombers (17-1-2) will face #25 UMass Boston (18-2-0) at 11 a.m. and #24 Bowdoin (11-3-3) will face Scranton (9-7-4) at 1:30 p.m. The regional final will kick off on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Fans are invited to follow NCAA Tournament action online through live stats or VIC's live radio broadcast.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the site of competition: $6 general, $3 students, $3 senior citizens, $2 children under 12.

The NCAA has discontinued printing programs for Division III women's soccer. The digital version can be found at ncaa.com.

The Bombers are making their 10th straight and 23rd overall appearance in the NCAA playoffs after securing a trip to the Final Four in 2011. The Bombers have a pair of NCAA titles and one runner-up finish to their name. The Polar Bears are in their eighth NCAA Tournament and first since 2007. The Royals enter their 14th NCAA postseason and third straight. The Beacons enter the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

The Bombers have never faced UMass Boston. Ithaca played Bowdoin in the first round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament and posted a 2-0 shutout over the Polar Bears. Ithaca has faced Scranton 17 times, posting a 12-3-2 record, including a 3-2 double overtime victory over the Royals on Sept. 8.
