CLINTON, N.Y. -- The Ithaca women's swimming & diving team picked up first-place finishes in seven of the 13 events in a quad meet at Hamilton in which Hartwick and Geneseo also competed. The Bombers totaled three dual victories at the meet. Ithaca bettered Geneseo 148-94, outscored Hartwick 146-97 and defeated Hamilton 167-76.
Carly Jones was first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:12.73) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.37). She was also part of Ithaca's victorious 400-yard medley relay (4:07.88) with
Kylie Bangs,
Meredith Wells and
Megan Buisman.
Buisman went on to win the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.11, edging teammate Bangs by eight-hundredths of a second. Buisman was also second in the 200 free and Bangs was third in the 200 IM.
Ithaca divers swept those events.
Korie Fackler won on 1-meter with a total of 229.85 and
Heather Markus won on 3-meter with a score of 234.15.
Laura Goodwell placed first in the 200-yard butterfly with a score of 2:17.82.
Ithaca returns to action Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 when the team hosts the Bomber Invitational at the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion.
