ITHACA, N.Y. – The #6 Ithaca College women's soccer team will play host to the NCAA Tournament sectional rounds on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-18. The sectional semifinals will be held on Saturday at Carp Wood Field. The Bombers (19-1-2) will face #10/17 Misericordia (19-2-1) at 11 a.m. and Cortland (12-4-6) will take on Brandeis (15-4-2) at 1:30 p.m. The sectional final will kick off on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The Bombers are making their 10th straight and 23rd overall appearance in the NCAA playoffs after securing a trip to the Final Four in 2011. The Bombers have a pair of NCAA titles and one runner-up finish to their name. The Cougars are in their sixth NCAA Tournament and second consecutive. The Red Dragons are in their 12th NCAA postseason and second straight. The Judges are in their third NCAA Tournament.
Ithaca holds a 4-1 series record over Misericordia. The teams first met in the first round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament with Ithaca claiming a 4-1 win over the Cougars. Most recently the Bombers defeated Misericordia, 1-0, on Oct. 2. Ithaca owns a 17-9-10 all-time record over the Red Dragons in a series dating back to 1981. Ithaca, who has lost just once in the last 14 meetings, is 7-5-8 against the local rival on Carp Wood Field. The Bombers are 2-0-2 against Cortland in the NCAA playoffs, with their wins coming in the 1990 national title game and the 2011 elite eight. The Blue & Gold won a 1-0 contest over Cortland on Sept. 18. Ithaca and Brandeis have met once in the first round of the 1988 NCAA Tournament. The Bombers defeated the Judges, 1-0.
