Undefeated Ithaca Women's Soccer Team Routs Red Dragons, 4-1

Box Score

ITHACA, N.Y. – The #4 Ithaca College women's soccer team (16-0-1) routed visiting Oneonta (11-6-1), 4-1, Tuesday afternoon at Carp Wood Field to remain undefeated on the season.

Though Oneonta got on the board first, the Bombers immediately answered and went on to score three additional for the non-conference regional win.

After surrendering the first goal of the game just 3:22 into play, Ithaca answered as senior Rachael Palladino dribbled the ball from the midfield dishing left to junior Ellyn Grant-Keane who fired a shot high connecting with the crossbar. Junior Jackie Rodabaugh collected the deflecting ball to knot the score, 1-1, just three seconds removed from the Oneonta goal.

Rodabaugh struck again in the 12th minute on a feed from junior Amanda Callanan in the center of the field. Rodabaugh tallied her second on a shot low into the left corner of goal.

Freshman Kelsey King beat a pair of Red Dragon defenders in the box following a feed from senior Megan Palladino to instate a two-goal gap in the 34th minute.

Ithaca took a 3-1 lead and a 12-2 shot advantage into intermission.

R. Palladino tallied her team-leading 12th goal of the season to move the Bombers ahead, 4-1, 10 minutes into the second stint finalizing all scoring. It was her 59th career score, moving her within two of Ithaca's school record 61 goals. She has 139 career points, within nine of the school record of 148.

Senior Becca Salant made one save during the game.

The Bombers held a 21-10 advantage in shots and a 2-0 edge in corner kicks.

Ithaca concludes regular-season action on Saturday, Oct. 27 at RIT. Please note that the game time has changed from 2 p.m. to 11:30 a.m.
