DALLAS, Pa. – The #6/5 Ithaca College women's soccer team (11-0-0) improved its school-record setting start to the season with a 1-0 victory at #12/24 Misericordia (8-2-1) Tuesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Rachael Palladino capitalized on an
Amanda Callanan feed in the 13th minute to score the game's lone goal. With the goal,
Palladino increased her career tally to 55, creeping within six goals of Ithaca's all-time record of 61 held by
Chelsey Feldman.
Senior
Becca Salant posted her seventh consecutive shutout with the win in goal. She made six stops against the Cougars, including two in the waning minutes of the game at 85:55 and 86:33, to hold off a surging host squad.
Misericordia led the shot count, 19-17, despite the Bombers holding an 11-5 edge at intermission. The Cougars also had a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Bombers return to Carp Wood Field on Saturday, Oct. 6 to face Nazareth at noon.
