Ithaca, Cortland Draw 0-0 in Men's Soccer

Box Score Cortland, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's soccer team (0-3-1) tied 0-0 at Cortland (1-2-2) Tuesday night in a non-conference game. The Bombers held a 15-11 advantage in shots in the game, and will play their first home game and first Empire 8 game Saturday at 2 p.m. against St. John Fisher.

Freshman goalkeeper Jordan Gentile (Manlius-Pebble Hill/Syracuse) earned his first career shutout and made three saves. One of those came during the second 10-minute overtime period.

The Bombers generated most of their attack through freshman Chris Voehl (Walt Whitman/Bethesda, Md.), who had four shots and two on target. Sophomore James Shankland (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) had three shots, with one on target.
