ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca women's soccer team (8-2-2, 4-1-0 Empire 8) scored a game-tying goal in the 79th minute but lost 2-1 in overtime against Stevens (8-3-2, 3-0-1 Empire 8) Sunday afternoon at Carp Wood Field.

Rachael Palladino (Lansing/Lansing) scored the equalizer after a foul by the Ducks. Sophomore back
Anna Gray (Delmar/Bethlehem) took the free kick from Ithaca's territory and lofted a long pass down the middle of the field.
Palladino headed the ball down about 30 yards from goal and dribbled past two defenders, before slotting a shot inside of the right post around a sliding goalkeeper with 11:41 remaining in the second half.
The Bombers had their best scoring chance in overtime in the opening seconds of the second extra-time period when
Palladino took a through ball and was past the Stevens defenders but tackled from behind, just outside of the penalty area. Junior midfielder
Julie Winn (Sutton/Sutton, Mass.) took the free kick and fired a shot over the crossbar.
Ithaca outshot Stevens 28-18 in the contest. Bomber junior goalkeeper
Becca Salant (Holliston/Holliston, Mass.) made nine saves in the game.
Ithaca returns to action Oct. 19 at Elmira.
