Waltham, Mass. -- The eighth-ranked women's soccer team (1-1-0) dropped its first match of the season, losing 1-0 to Babson in the second round of the Brandeis Invitational. The Bombers took the loss despite owning a 27-1 advantage in shots. Ithaca put 13 shots on net, but were held scoreless.

The Bombers take on Marywood Wednesday in their home opener. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m. at Carp Wood Field.
