Hoboken, N.J. -- The #16 women's soccer team (5-1-0, 2-0-0 Empire 8) stayed atop the Empire 8 standings by rallying to beat host Stevens (7-1-0, 0-1-0 Empire 8) 2-1 in overtime Saturday. Sophomore
Caroline Jastremski (Notre Dame Academy/Staten Island) scored both goals for the Bombers.
Jastremski scored the game-winner just 2:52 into the extra session, taking a pass from freshman
Ellyn Grant-Keane (Lansing/Groton) on the left side and taking a shot that went off the hands of Stevens' goalkeeper.
Her second career multi-goal performance gave
Jastremski season totals of three goals and nine points. Her first goal of the afternoon tied the score in the 70th minute when she converted a give-and-go play with junior
Megan Trager (Sharon/Sharon, Mass.) down the left side.
Trager and
Grant-Keane both picked up their second assist of the season.
Senior
Jessica Platt (Monument Mountain/New Marlborough, Mass.) made three saves in goal.
The Bombers have now won 14 straight against Empire 8 competition; they continue league play Saturday against Nazareth.
