Alfred, N.Y. -- The women's soccer team (8-2-0, 4-0-0 Empire 8) outshot host Alfred 47-3 en route to a 5-0 win Saturday. Sophomore
Rachael Palladino (Lansing/Lansing) scored two goals as the Bombers remained atop the Empire 8 standings, winning their 16th straight against conference opposition.
Palladino netted Ithaca;s first two goals -- her 12th and 13th goals of the season -- and raised her season total to 30 points (matching the program's ninth-highest single-season total). With 61 career points, she ranks 11th on Ithaca's all-time list.

Julie Winn (Sutton/Sutton, Mass.) gave Ithaca a 3-0 lead late in the first half, curling a direct kick past the Saxons' goalkeeper.

Jackie Rodabaugh (Central Mountain/Mill Hall, Pa.). Five minutes later, senior
Megan Trager (Sharon/Sharon, Mass.) picked up the Bombers' final goal, pushing the ball past the goalkeeper after a shot by senior
Kelley Hand (Valley Central/Walkill) left Alfred's keeper out of position.
Three goalkeepers -- seniors
Jessica Platt (Monument Mountain/New Marlborough, Mass.) and
Alyssa Sotomayor (East Brunswick/East Brunswick, N.J.) and sophomore
Becca Salant (Holliston/Holliston, Mass.) -- shared the shutout for Ithaca with
Sotomayor recording the Bombers' only save.
