Rochester, N.Y. -- The women's soccer team (10-2-0, 6-0-0), ranked ninth by the NSCAA and 20th by D3soccer.com, remained atop the Empire 8 standings with a 1-0 win at Rochester Institute of Technology (7-3-3, 2-2-0 Empire 8) Saturday. Sophomore Rachael Palladino (Lansing/Laninsg) scored the game's only goal early in the second half.

Palladino scored her 15th goal of the season -- she's tied for 10th nationally in that category -- in the 51st minute. She also leads Ithaca with 34 points.

Senior Jessica Platt (Monument Mountain/New Marlborough, Mass.) recorded three saves in goal.

Ithaca outshot the Tigers 16-5. The Bombers have won 18 straight matches over Empire 8 opponents dating back to 2008.

Ithaca hosts Hartwick Wednesday at 4 p.m.
