Clinton, N.Y. – The Ithaca women's swimming & diving team defeated Hamilton 151-92 and lost against Hartwick 130-113 and Geneseo 131-112 in a quad meet Saturday at Hamilton. Three Bombers (5-3) were double-winners in the meet as each won an individual event in addition to the 400-yard medley relay to start off the day on a winning note.
Freshman Missy Keesler (Union-Endicott/Endicott) won the 200 backstroke in 2:10.16 and also swam the leadoff leg of the medley relay that touched in 4:04.72.
Senior Lauren Botterbusch (Dallastown Area/York, Pa.) was the second leg in the winning relay and also won the 200 breaststroke in 2:28.74, while sophomore Sheila Rhoades (Dryden/Dryden) closed the relay by swimming the freestyle leg and also won the 100 free in 54.34 seconds. Rhoades was also second in the 50 free (25.10 seconds).
The final member of the winning relay team was freshman Cali DeSanto (Mexico/Mexico) who swam a 1:02.90 split in the butterfly leg of the relay.
Sophomore diver Megan Stover (Pennridge/Perkasie, Pa.) was second on the 3-meter board with a score of 195.50 points and freshman Jodi Costello (Framingham/Framingham, Mass.) was third on the 1-meter board with 176.05 points.
Sophomore Maddie Kennedy (Head Royce/Alameda, Calif.) was second in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.32.
