Washington, Pa.  -- Ithaca (1-6, 1-1 Empire 8) fell to conference rival Washington & Jefferson (6-2, 2-1) 2-1 in overtime on Saturday. Freshman Christine Franz (West Windsor-Plainsboro/Plainsboro, N.J.) scored her second career goal in the second half of the game.

 

This is the third game the Bombers sent into overtime this season.

 

Sophomore goalie Chelsea Welsh (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) played the first half of the game and did not give up a goal while making two saves. Sophomore goalie Courtney Dowell (Massapequa/Massapequa) replaced Welsh in the second half and made five saves.

 

The Bombers return to action on Tuesday when they host William Smith at 4 p.m.
