Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The women’s soccer team (7-2-0) defeated Skidmore (4-4-2) 3-1 on Saturday. Junior forward
Chelsey Feldman (Hewlett/Lynbrook) scored two goals in the win, breaking a school record for career goals (36).
Feldman scored the game’s first goal in the 40th minute on a corner kick by sophomore
Emily Mogk (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman). The assist was the second of the season for
Mogk. The Bombers took a 2-0 lead when
Feldman received a pass from sophomore
Amy Scheffer (Schenectady/Schalmont) and found the back of the net for her record-breaking 36th career goal.
Feldman now has 12 goals this season. She also improved her career point total to 91, extending her school record in that category. The assist by
Scheffer was her second of the season.
Sophomore forward
Winnie Adrien (Blairstown Academy/Blair, N.J.) rounded out Ithaca’s scoring with her third goal of the season in the 58th minute.
Adrien ranks third on the team in total points this season with seven.
Senior goalkeeper
Aimee Meacham (Massena/Massena) played the entire game in net for the Bombers stopping eight of the nine shots she faced.
Ithaca’s next contest is Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Scranton at Carp Wood Field.
