Brockport, N.Y. – The field hockey team (0-3) was defeated at Brockport (3-2), 2-1, Wednesday afternoon. Junior Elyse Green (Shawnee/Medford, N.J.) scored the Bombers' goal with no time left in the second half.

 

The goal marked the first in the 2007 season for Green. It was unassisted and came off a rebound from a shot taken by junior Marisa Frank (Bow/Bow, N.H.).

 

Sophomores Chelsea Welsh (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) and Courtney Dowell (Massapequa/Massapequa) played one half each as goalkeeper. Welsh got the start and made six saves in the first half. Dowell played the entire second half and had two saves.

 

The Bombers’ next game is at Utica on Sunday at 1 p.m.
