Norton, Mass. –The women's soccer team (17-3-0) posted a 2-0 win over Bowdoin (12-5-1) in the regional semifinals of the NCAA playoffs. The Bombers, who are making their Division III-record 18th NCAA playoff appearance, will face Wheaton (Mass.), the host of this weekend’s regional, Saturday at 1 p.m., in the regional final. The Lyons (22-0-1) defeated Baptist Bible 9-0 in Friday’s other semifinal.

Winnie Adrien (Blair Academy/Selden) scored the game-winning goal in the first half and junior forward
Chelsey Feldman (Hewlett/Lynbrook) added a second-half goal.
Adrien’s goal was her 13th of the season and her fourth in Ithaca’s three postseason games (she was named MVP of the Empire 8 championship Tournament).
Feldman’s goal, her school-record 18th, raised her season total to 40 – breaking her own year-old school record. Senior midfielder

Aimee Meacham (Massena/Massena) made three saves to record her 14th shutout of the season. She extended her Bomber records to 53 wins and 49 shutouts.
The Bombers’ 17 wins are the most under Coach
Mindy Quigg (who has led the team to 11 NCAA playoff appearances) and the program’s highest total since 1992.
Saturday’s meeting with Wheaton will be Ithaca’s first. The unbeaten Lyons have won 19 straight games.
