Hubbard Earns MVP Honors As Bombers Win ECSU Volleyball

Amanda Hubbard earned her second straight tournament MVP honor

Willimantic, Conn. -- Ithaca defeated Bridgewater State 3-0 to wrap up play in Eastern Connecticut's Crabtree Classic. The Bombers posted four 3-0 wins over the weekend to win the Crabtree Classic -- their second tournament title of the season. Senior Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) was named tournament MVP and classmate Mary Schaeffer (Eden/Eden) joined her on the all-tournament team.

Hubbard recorded 13 kills and 10 digs to lead the Bombers in both categories against Bridgewater. Sophomore Jen Heberton (Darien/Darien, Conn.) added eight kills and two blocks for the Bombers.

The Bombers return to action Tuesday, Oct. 16 with a home contest against Cortland. Match time is 7 p.m.
