Volleyball Picks Up Fourth-Straight Win at Oneonta Invitational

Mary Schaefer led the Bombers with 31 digs in the win

Oneonta, N.Y. -- The volleyball team tallied its fourth-straight win at the Oneonta Invitational with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-28, 30-24) victory over Skidmore. With the win, the Bombers advance to the championship match against Russell Sage Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Freshman Corinna Doctor(Skaneateles/Skaneateles) led the Bombers with 47 assists in the match. Juniors Mary Schaefer (Eden/Eden) and Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) tallied 31 digs and 19 digs, respectively. Hubbard also recorded a team-high 20 kills. Classmate Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Port Jervis) recorded a double-double with 18 kills and 13 digs.
 
Ithaca won its only meeting against the Gators during the 1976 season.
