Utica, N.Y. – The volleyball team improved their Empire 8 record to 3-0 with a 3-1 victory over Utica (30-20, 30-17, 25-30, 30-14). The win improved Ithaca's overall record to 19-10 on the Season. Freshman Jen Heberton (Darien/Darien, Conn.) recorded a career-high 16 kills and added four digs. Classmate Rachel Busch (Hoover/North Canton, Ohio) recorded a career-high 13 kills and added six digs.

 

Junior Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) had a double-double in the match with 18 kills and 21 digs. Hubbard also had a career-high six service aces. Freshman Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) led the team with 53 assists.

 

The Bombers next host Oneonta on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
